you shouldn't have to download anything to get the EOTN content if you have the access key or had previously added the access key to your account then the EOTN content should be available.

You don't need to download EotN separately. All the campaigns and expansions are part of the same gw.dat file, and new pieces of that file are automatically downloaded when you move into an area that you haven't visited before. If you have added the EotN key to your account, just start playing.

However, if you want to download the full gw.dat first, you can do it by adding the -image switch to your GW command line. This will take a very long time since the full file is several gigabytes, but then you won't have any loading delays as you move into new areas.

To access EotN it requires you to be level 10 and you need to speak to one of these people to obtain to the quest which will give you access to EotN:

* Len Caldoron in Lion's Arch
* Minister of Maintenance Raiugyon in Kaineng Center
* Bendah in Kamadan

You don't need to download any other file once you already have installed one copy of the game since it's all in your Gw.dat file and that will update and increase as you explore more and more things.

You only need the key on your account , the content downloads automatically as you get to it, you know the loading screen you get when you pass from 1 area to the next , if you don't have the data for that area the client downloads it automatically,i.e instead of the red line at the bottom of the loading screen filling automatically it will say Downloading ***** files and as the new areas files download the red line will fill up , go try it for yourself , you'll see what we mean.

Lol i see what u mean now, you have to play to a certain point in one of the other 3 main games storylines before you can access EOTN as *Lynx has said , EOTN is only an expansion , it isnt a full campaign like the other 3 games are.

EotN is an expansion not a campaign and here is a quote from the Guild Wars Wiki explaining what EotN is:
Quote:
Guild Wars: Eye of the North, sometimes abbreviated to EotN or GW:EN, is the fourth purchasable installment in the original Guild Wars game. It is intended to tie the Guild Wars storyline with that of Guild Wars 2. Instead of using a campaign format used by Guild Wars Factions and Guild Wars Nightfall, Eye of the North is a traditional expansion on any of the existing campaigns, rather than a standalone game. Players cannot create characters based on the expansion (there are no tutorial areas), and there are no additional professions. Eye of the North was released on August 31st, 2007.

The setting for the campaign is in part subterranean and spread through the continent of Tyria, which has already been introduced by the original campaign. Players may explore the homeland of the Charr, meet the Asura and Norn, and witness the birth of the Sylvari. The Charr, Norn, Asura and Sylvari will be playable races in Guild Wars 2.

Log in to the game, find the "Edit Account" button on your character selection screen. Go to the manage access keys tab, EoTN should listed in there if you have added the key to your account.

And as mentioned, you can't create new characters in EoTN, so you will not see an option to do so. Instead, you can take your chars there once they are lvl10 and have reached the main port city of the campaign they are in. See the npcs Lynx* mentioned for the connecting quests.
